Jojoba Oil

What It Is

Jojoba oil is technically a liquid wax, not a true oil. It closely mimics the skin's natural sebum, making it exceptionally well-tolerated by all skin and hair types. It is cold pressed from jojoba seeds grown in El Gouna, Egypt.

How Much to Use

2–3 drops for hair. 1–2 drops for face. A small amount goes a long way — jojoba is lightweight and spreads easily. Start with less than you think you need, then adjust.

When to Use

Daily use is safe. Use after washing on damp hair, or as a pre-wash scalp treatment. For skin, apply morning or night to slightly damp areas for best absorption.

Hair — Ends & Lengths

Leave-in conditioner

After washing and towel-drying hair, warm 2–3 drops between your palms and smooth through mid-lengths and ends. Focus on the driest areas. Do not rinse out.

Best for

All hair types. Especially curly, frizzy, or dry ends.

Scalp Treatment

Pre-wash scalp massage

Apply 4–5 drops directly to the scalp. Part hair into sections and apply using your fingertips. Massage in circular motions for 3–5 minutes. Leave for 30 min to overnight, then wash out normally.

Best for

Dry scalp, itchiness, scalp imbalance, or thinning concerns.

Hair Styling

Pre-style frizz control

Before blow-drying or air-drying, apply 1–2 drops to damp hair. It coats the cuticle and reduces frizz without weighing the hair down or leaving a greasy finish.

Best for

Wavy, curly, or heat-styled hair. Use sparingly on fine hair.

Face Care

Facial moisturiser

Apply 1–2 drops to clean, slightly damp skin. Press — do not rub — into the face, focusing on dry areas. Can be used morning and night. Non-comedogenic, so it won't clog pores.

Best for

All skin types including oily and acne-prone skin.

Body Care

Post-shower body oil

After showering, while skin is still slightly damp, apply a few drops to arms, legs, and any dry areas. The moisture in your skin helps the oil absorb faster and more evenly.

Best for

Dry skin, rough elbows and knees, post-waxing or shaving.

Overnight

Overnight hair treatment

Apply generously to the scalp and hair before bed. Braid or wrap hair to protect your pillow. Wash out in the morning. Doing this once a week can significantly improve softness and shine over time.

Best for

Very dry, damaged, or chemically treated hair.

Rosemary oil

Rosemary Oil

What It Is

100% pure rosemary essential oil. Rosemary oil is potent and must always be diluted with a carrier oil like jojoba before applying to the scalp or skin. Never apply undiluted directly to skin.

How Much to Use

Always dilute first. A safe ratio is 1 part rosemary oil to 4–5 parts carrier oil (like jojoba). This gives you a blend safe for direct scalp application without irritation.

When to Use

1–3 times per week as a pre-wash scalp treatment. Not a daily-use oil. Consistency over weeks is what produces results — treat it like a dedicated scalp ritual, not a quick fix.

Scalp Massage

Scalp stimulation ritual

Mix 1 part rosemary oil with 4 parts jojoba oil. Part your hair into sections and apply the blend directly to the scalp. Massage with your fingertips in circular motions for 5 minutes. Leave for 30–60 minutes, then wash out.

Frequency

2–3 times per week for best results.

Hair Growth

Overnight growth treatment

For a deeper treatment, apply the diluted blend before bed. Braid or wrap your hair. In the morning, wash out with your regular shampoo. This extended contact time gives the oil more opportunity to work on the scalp.

Frequency

Once a week as an overnight treatment.

What to Expect

Timeline & results

Rosemary oil works gradually. Most people notice a refreshed, calmer scalp within the first 2 weeks. Visible improvements in hair density and root health typically require 8–12 weeks of consistent use. Do not skip weeks.

Key tip

Consistency is more important than frequency. 2× a week for 3 months beats 7× a week for 3 weeks.

Coconut oil

Coconut Oil

What It Is

100% pure cold-pressed virgin coconut oil. Unrefined, unbleached, and undeodorised. Solid at room temperature, it melts instantly on contact with warm skin or hair. Has a gentle natural coconut scent.

How Much to Use

For hair: a coin-sized amount or slightly more for longer hair. For skin: a small scoop is enough for full body application. Coconut oil melts quickly, so start small and add more if needed.

When to Use

Best as a pre-wash hair treatment or post-shower body moisturiser. Not ideal as a daily scalp oil or facial moisturiser for most people — it is richer than jojoba and can be too heavy for the face.

Hair — Pre-Wash

Deep conditioning mask

Melt a coin-sized amount of coconut oil in your palms. Apply to dry hair from roots to ends, focusing on the lengths and tips. Cover with a towel or shower cap. Leave 30–60 minutes (or overnight), then shampoo out completely.

Best for

Thick, coarse, or high-porosity hair. Damaged or colour-treated hair.

Body Care

Post-shower body moisturiser

After showering, while skin is still damp, scoop a small amount and warm it between your hands. Apply all over the body. Focus on very dry areas like heels, knees, and elbows. Let absorb for a minute before dressing.

Best for

Dry body skin. Extra-dry areas like heels and elbows.

Overnight Treatment

Overnight hair mask

Apply generously to dry hair before bed, coating every strand from scalp to ends. Braid or wrap tightly to protect your pillow. In the morning, shampoo twice if needed to fully remove. Leaves hair noticeably softer.

Best for

Very dry, brittle, or heat-damaged hair. Once a week maximum.

Skin Care

Cuticle & nail care

Warm a tiny amount between your fingertips and massage into cuticles and nail edges nightly. Keeps cuticles soft and prevents cracking or peeling. Also works well as a lip balm alternative for very dry lips.

Best for

Dry, cracked cuticles. Brittle nails. Very dry lips.

Important Note

Avoid on oily or acne-prone skin

Unlike jojoba oil, coconut oil is comedogenic — it can clog pores for some skin types. It works well on body skin and hair, but is not recommended for facial use if you are prone to breakouts or oily skin.

Use instead

For face: use jojoba oil — it is non-comedogenic and safe for all skin types.

Pro Tip

Combine with rosemary for a complete hair ritual

Use coconut oil as your weekly deep-conditioning pre-wash mask, and rosemary (diluted in jojoba) as your scalp treatment. Together they cover every aspect of hair health — moisture, scalp stimulation, and root care.
